Principal Investigator

Neema Jamshidi, MD, PhD

Neema Jamshidi is an Assistant Professor-in-Residence in the Interventional Radiology Section of the Department of Radiological Sciences at UCLA with Adjunct position in the Program of Medicine and Physics in Biology and Affiliate in the Department of Bioengineering.

As a physician-scientist-engineer his research interests are multi-disciplinary with a focus on ultimately understanding how cell-cell interactions, particularly in metabolism, lead to clinically distinct phenotypes using constraint-based, data-driven modeling approaches, focusing on oncologic and regenerative medicine applications for diagnosis and potential avenues for minimally invasive interventions.

He received his MD and PhD (Bioengineering) at UC San Diego with Internal Medicine internship at the UC San Diego Medical Center. His Diagnostic Radiology Residency (Research Track) followed by Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship were completed at UCLA.
